Personal Finance – Keep it Simple
Thanks for stopping by. My intent for personal finance is to keep it simple. At this time you won’t find any posts on investment advice. There are plenty of sites out there that address just about any investment you can think of. Here we’ll focus on getting your personal finances in order.
I was watching a TV commercial where a product was being described. Part of the description was about people having ‘unknown’ subscriptions. These people were paying monthly for services they didn’t even know about! That floored me. I thought how in the world could someone not know what their monthly expenses were? How can they have subscriptions they didn’t know about? Don’t they track their credit card bills and bank statements? Were they hacked? Identity theft? What?
Above is what got me thinking of my own financial mistakes. There was a time many years ago that my own finances were a mess. I had no choice but to get my finances in order. There was no great investment plan, business idea or any big vision. The objective was clear. Get my finances under control, then track it monthly.
That’s what I’d like to focus on here. We’ll start from the very beginning (where is your money going?). From there we’ll work through a basic budget.
