Ideas for Change

Ideas for Change

I’m tired of hearing about politicians promising one thing or another. They spew garbage just to get elected. Once in, they just want to stay employed. Below are a few REAL changes I think would better the USA.

First off, what should the government really be involved in?

  • Security of the country through a strong military
  • Secure our borders
  • Provide law and order.
  • Print money (yeah, it’s in the constitution, so OK – BUT the federal reserve has got to go)

Politicians

  • Term limits. Two terms and you’re out
  • NO pension. If 401K is best for the country, it’s best for them
  • Medical will be provided through Obama care. Again, good enough for the country, good enough for the politicians
  • NO lobbyists. If caught dealing with them, there should be legal consequences including prison terms for treason. Politicians should not sell out the country to line their own pockets.

Priorities

  • Safety of the United States of America. This includes national security, our borders and crime.
  • Care for our veterans and elderly and young children that cannot take of themselves.
  • Taxes – Simplify. Single tax code regardless of income. This applies to individuals, families and businesses. No more tax write offs for anyone. Single tax rate – Period
  • America first. There’s nothing wrong with helping out other countries, but not to the detriment of America. We’re trillions in debt and we spend like drunken sailors. Enough. Fix America first.
  • Environment. I’m tired of this being debated on both sides. This should actually be an international objective and not just an American one. Regardless of who you are or where you live, we all reside on this one planet. Don’t destroy it in order to make a buck.

Wrap Up

Above is just a starter. Keep it simple. Don’t over complicate this. I could have added additional priorities but frankly I have extreme doubts our government can handle the above (especially things like term limits, removing pensions, removing lobbyists and modification of their benefit packages. Change doesn’t need to be complicated in and of itself. Change is the only constant in life. I don’t care which party a politician belongs to. Be someone for REAL change (and not just rhetoric) and you got my attention. Do that AND be able to deliver, you’ll get my vote too.
